The Intro

Hello everyone! Thank you for following my trip to Japan and Taiwan! I will hopefully be posting here fairly regularly with updates and pictures of what I have been up to. I know everyone starts a blog saying they will keep it up and then drop off after a week or two, but this will hopefully also be a place for me to get myself organized, and a place to keep some of the memories I've made. Six months is a lot of memories to lose otherwise. So internet-access depending I should have something up every couple of days.

I am not bringing a laptop with me, so all posts will be made either from my phone or my hosts computer. I expect formatting to suffer.

I am starting my trip on March 1st with a visit to Colorado to see my sister and her partner Ric, so for a week and a half the photos you see will not, in fact, be from a foreign country. You will, however, get a very good look at views of the Rockies from trails throughout Boulder, and the Flatirons, likely.

On March 12th I will be flying to Fukuoka, where due to some scheduling conundrums I will immediately be taking a bus down to Nagasaki. I will be staying there until the 15th, when I will take a train up to Ukiha where I will meet with my first host. You will be able to follow most of these activities on the map I will be updating on my The Map page above. To see what all the little symbols mean open the legend with the square icon to the left of the map title, "Japan Sites." I am still fiddling with the formatting, and it is currently populated with places Im *hoping* to visit, along with my currently scheduled hosts. But I'll mess with it as I go along.

On a side note, it looks like the phone app I am usuing to update this blog does not have spellcheck, so you will get to see some very interesting typing errors. Dont blame me. Its the keyboard. Really. Now for the sake of testing formatting, here is a picture of a cool plant in my backyard!
